2008 Fall Bible Studies
Reveille Day, September 7, will signal the kick off for long term Sunday evening adult studies designed to transform the lives of the participants by providing the fellowship of a small group for study, prayer, preparation, support, and servanthood.
 
Disciple Bible Study is a program of disciplined Bible study “aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. It focuses on the disciple as learner, believer, follower, proclaimer, and servant while providing the fellowship of a small group.  Disciple 1 is a prerequisite for all other Disciple classes, Jesus in the Gospels, and Christian Believer.  Click here for more information about Discple Bible Study programs.
 
Disciple 1: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study is a 34-week overview of the Bible covering over 70% of the Bible. Led by Keith Thompson and Maureen McKay on Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm.
 
Disciple 2: Into the Word, Into the World studies Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts. Led by Jennifer McCluskey and Stephen Coleman on Thursday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am. Prerequisite, Disciple 1.
 
Disciple 3: Remember Who You Are focuses on Old Testament prophets and the letters of Paul. Led by Rick Farmer and Rich Schweiker on Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm.  Prerequisite, Disciple 1.
 
Disciple 4: Under the Tree of Life concentrates on Old Testament writings along with the Gospel of John, and Revelation. Led by Carol Hampton and John Salmon, Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm. Prerequisite, Disciple 1.
 
Jesus in the Gospels examines the portraits of Jesus that emerge from the Gospels. 
Led by Jill Gaynor and Carol Uzzle on Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm.  Prerequisite, Disciple 1.
 
In addition to the Disciple classes two other fall classes will be offered on Sunday evening. 
 
The Divine Conspiracy: Rediscovering Our Hidden Life In God by Dallas Willard will be led by Jonathan Brabrand and Steve Holdych on Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm. 
 
Introduction to Christian Worship will explore what Christian worship is. Registration is open first to parents of 1st graders participating in Children in Worship class, along with members of the worship committee. This class is led by Associate Pastor Chris Donald and will meet on Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm
 
Wednesday morning and evening (beginning September 10) Breaking Free, a Beth Moore Bible study, will be offered. The morning class, meeting from 9:15am to 11:30 am, will be led by Mary Anne Noland and Elizabeth Porter. The leaders of the evening class, meeting from 6:45pm to 9pm, is Donna Davis and Stormy Noland.
