The Reveille Toddler Program provides opportunities for children between the ages of 12 months and three years to experience God’s love in a nurturing environment with adults other than their parents.
The toddler program targets the following learning outcomes:
- to maintain and celebrate the spontaneous energy of infants and toddlers
- to promote growth in independence and self-expression
- to provide opportunities for children to develop positive relationships with their peers
- to provide an environment and activities to cultivate the child’s natural desire to learn
- to appreciate music
- to foster the development of oral language through meaningful conversation and early literacy experiences
The program follows a cooperative plan in which parents take turns working in their child’s classroom as assistant teachers. Each class is staffed by a professional lead teacher, a full-time assistant teacher, and one parent. The teacher-child ratio is one teacher to three children in the youngest classes, and one teacher to four children in the other classes. The school day is scheduled from 9:15-11:45 am, one or two days a week, depending on age.
