Meet Our Staff

Pastoral Staff

Rev. James R. Noland (804-359-6041, ext. 112)
Senior Pastor 
Jim was appointed to serve Reveille in 2006. Before coming to Reveille, Jim served churches in Vienna, Lynchburg, Suffolk, Salem, and North Garden. He holds degrees from the University of Virginia, Southern Methodist University, and Wesley Theological Seminary. Jim is adjunct faculty at Union Theological Seminary here in Richmond, and he teaches in the course of study at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. Jim is married to Mary Anne, who is a registered nurse. Jim and Mary Anne have three sons, three daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. His primary staff responsibilities are worship planning and spiritual leadership, support and supervision of staff, recruitment and selection of lay leaders, and care and maintenance of church facilities and permanent assets.
 
Rev. Abigail W. Kocher (804-359-6041, ext. 111)
Associate Pastor
The Reverend Abigail W. Kocher was appointed to serve Reveille in 2010. Abby has both undergraduate and divinity degrees from Duke University. She especially enjoys opportunities in ministry to delve deeply into the connections between prayer and place and people. She brings to Reveille her passion for linking together the church’s life of Sunday worship and daily prayer with its presence in the local community and the daily practice of Christian faith. Abby is married to the Reverend Craig Kocher, who is Chaplain to the University of Richmond. Her primary staff responsibilities include planning and leading worship and overseeing outreach and witness ministries.
 
Rev. Stephen A. Coleman (804-359-6041, ext. 115)
Associate Pastor
Stephen came to Reveille in September 2001. A Richmond native, Stephen holds degrees from Hampden-Sydney College and Union Theological Seminary-Presbyterian School of Christian Education. Stephen enjoys golf, movies, board and card games. He and his wife, Beth, have one son, Wyn. His primary staff responsibilities are pastoral care coordination, oversight of lay caregivers, older adult ministry, and staff support of stewardship.
 

Program Staff

Rev. Carol Uzzle (804-359-6041, ext. 117)
Minister for Teaching and Learning
Carol came to Reveille in 1999, returning to the church of her childhood. She holds degrees from Emory and Henry College and Duke Divinity School. Carol, an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church, has served churches as a Christian educator in the Holston, North Carolina and Virginia Conferences. Carol and her husband, Russ, have two grown sons, Scott and Jonathan. Her primary staff responsibilities are over-seeing the congregation’s age-level ministries and teaching and learning ministries which include ministries with children and adult. She serves as staff liason with United Methodist Women.
 
Dwayne H. Stinson (804-359-6041, ext. 122)
Director of Youth Ministries
Dwayne arrived at Reveille in fall of 2006. He received a B.A. in religion, economics, and French from Hampden-Sydney College and a M.Div. from Duke Divinity School. Dwayne served as Farmville District Youth Coordinator for six years and as Director of Youth Ministries at Mount Olivet UMC in Arlington for three and a half years, as well as having taught high school French for three years. He enjoys reading, writing, and Honduran art. His primary staff responsibilities involve coordinating ministries for teens and pre-teens in grades six through twelve.
 
Cathy Armistead (804-359-6041, ext. 123)
Director of Music Ministries
Cathy joined the staff of Reveille in January 2002. She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Radford College and a master's in organ performance from VCU. Cathy, a full-time church musician for 29 years, has served United Methodist churches in the Richmond area: Duncan Memorial in Ashland, Centenary and Bon Air in Richmond, and Mt. Pisgah in Midlothian. Cathy enjoys books, movies, and running. She and Keith have two children, Carrie and Thomas. Cathy's duties include administrative and musical oversight of the music ministry, serving as organist for the traditional worship services, and coordinating volunteer choir directors.
 
Kaarina Jobe (804-359-6041, ext. 121)
Worship and Music Leader for The Point
Kaarina joined the staff of Reveille in the Fall of 2008. Kaarina holds a master's degree in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as a bachelor of arts in Vocal Performance and a bachelor of Music Education from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina. She is a licensed music teacher in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is also a licensed Musikgarten teacher. She has taught over five years in Virginia public schools. She is also a frequent vocal soloist in the community. She has over 15 years of teaching/performing experience. Kaarina is married to Chris and they have two children, Davis and Dalton. Kaarina’s duties include directing CrossPoint, The Point praise band, at Sunday morning worship and at other worship services and planning the contemporary music for The Point worship service.
 

Administrative Staff

Anne Stratton (804-359-6041, ext. 125)
Administrative Manager
Anne has been at Reveille since 1996. When you come to the church office, she is one of the first people you will see. Her responsibilities include maintaining membership records, coordinating the building-use calendar, coordinating mailings, working with the phone volunteers and trying to answer any questions you have. Anne has two adult daughters, Paige and Lee.
 
Bill Wright (804-359-6041, ext. 113)
Facilities Manager
Bill joined the staff at Reveille in December 2000. His responsibilities are to maintain all church facilities, supervise building-service personnel, purchase supplies and equipment, and maintain service contracts. His hobbies are refinishing antique furniture and restoring antique sports cars.
 
Cheryl Arrington (804-359-6041, ext. 114)
Pastoral and Congregational Care Secretary
Cheryl provides administrative support to the senior pastor, associate pastors, and the committees they staff. She also creates worship bulletins and the weekly newsletter. Cheryl earned a B. S. in Mass Communications from VCU and previously worked in the advertising industry. She has worked at Reveille since January 1995.
 
Glynis Holcomb (804-359-6041, ext. 118)
Financial Manager
Glynis joined the staff of Reveille in February 2002. Her responsibilities include accounts payable, payroll and employee benefits, and contributions reconciliation. Glynis, a native of Richmond, graduated from Lee-Davis High School and has taken course work at Virginia Commonwealth University and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. She is married to Rick, who works as an HVAC service supervisor.
