Outreach

Reveille’s youth actively participate in service to the Richmond community and beyond. Youth participate in a variety of outreach activities throughout the programming year, including church-wide events like CARITAS, Rebuilding Together and Stop Hunger Now meal packaging.

Other opportunities include:

Welborne United Methodist Ultimate Frisbee Tournament

Each October, the youth are encouraged to participate in this event, which raises money for charity. The cost to participate is $25 per youth, which goes to support the tournament’s cause.

Jeremiah Project

In addition to local opportunities, our middle school youth may attend Jeremiah Project a middle school mission week, in the summer. This week-long mission trip runs from Sunday through Saturday, and involves rising 6th through 9th graders. JP teaches middle schoolers how to do hands-on mission, but also balances work with devotions, worship, and recreation.

Habitat for Humanity (Domestic)

High school youth are invited to spend a week serving with Habitat for Humanity. During the week youth participate in construction Habitat homes. In the evenings the team shares worship and fellowship.

Habitat for Humanity (Internationl)

Every three years, Reveille sponsors a team of older teens and young adults to travel internationally. The group serves with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program, constructing homes for residents in Central America, primarily El Salvador and Honduras. These 9-day trips provide youth an opportunity to immerse themselves in another culture, and to see poverty and wealth from a new point of view. The trip is open to high school juniors and seniors, and college freshmen.
