The Susanna Wesley Circle
Welcome! The Susanna Wesley Circle is a group of United Methodist Women who meet to develop friendships while participating in local and global missions. We meet on the second Thursday of the month from September through May. We gather in the Parlor from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Childcare is provided.
 
The common denominator of our circle is that we are young mothers. Some of us work full-time, while others do not. Some of us are twenty-something while others are thirty- or forty- something. Most of us have children, and one of us even has eleven children. Some of us were raised at Reveille, while some of us haven't joined the church. Circle time is a great time to relax with other United Methodist Women in a social setting. We visit, have refreshments and enjoy each other's company.
 
Our circle is particularly interested in issues relating to women, marriage, parenting and social service. We may have a speaker, an activity or a book review related to one of these topics. The local mission that we support is the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter. We take dinner to the shelter on a bimonthly basis, we collect needed items for the shelter on a monthly basis and we sponsor an annual church-wide fundraiser for the shelter. We also deliver baby bags to moms of newborns at Reveille.

Stocking Stuffers 2007 at Covenant Woods Retirement Community
Please do not wrap items.  No large items and no used items.  Please bring to the November 8 circle meeting or the December 4 general meeting.
  • hand lotion or hand sanitizer
  • nail kit (emery board, orange stick, fingernail clippers)
  • Chapstick
  • mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush, denture tablets (Polident), Poli-Grip
  • pocket-size tissues
  • knee-high stockings
  • white or black men’s socks
  • fuzzy warm socks for everyone
  • men’s handkerchiefs
  • liquid soap, antibacterial lotion/soap
  • clear nail polish, emery boards
  • postage stamps (for assisted living residents)
  • ball point pens (for assisted living residents)
  • combs, brushes, purse mirrors
  • costume jewelry (necklaces that will go over the head, clip on earrings), Christmas jewelry
  • small boxes of candy (M&Ms, Tic-Tacs, Hershey bars, Lifesavers, sugar-free candy), peanuts, Lance crackers
  • little statues, snow globes, etc. (you can get these at the dollar store)
December 13 Stocking Stuffer Volunteers
Shift 1: 9 am-noon
Shift 2: 1 to 4 p.m.
Complimentary Lunch: noon -1 p.m.
Helpers are also needed to clean up items after stockings are stuffed.
