"Deepen Your Vows": Prayers
"As a member of this congregation, will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your service, and your gifts?"

In our effort to become better stewards of the wonderful gifts God has given us, our stewardship program "Deepen Your Vows" focuses on the promises we made when we joined the church to support it with our prayers, presence, service, and gifts. Throughout the year, we will examine one of these four vows and explore ways to deepen our commitment to God, enrich our faith, and make us better stewards for God's kingdom. During the Lenten season we consider the first vow, PRAYERS.

Beginning with prayer is appropriate, for there is no gift greater than our relationship with the living God. Prayer is the spiritual discipline that changes faith from abstract belief into intimate experience.  Prayer is about listening to God, seeking God's will, and pouring out to our loving God the deep longings of our hearts. How wonderful it is that God cares about each of us as individuals and longs for a closer personal relationship with us.
