Throughout 2007, the Stewardship Committee has challenged the congregation to “Deepen Your Vows.” In the first three quarters of the year, we focused on ways to deepen our commitment through prayer, presence, and service. As we enter the fall, we now turn our focus to the fourth and final vow, to honor God with our GIFTS. Our fall campaign is even more special this year, as we also reflect on the new church vision statement and how stewardship helps to make that vision a reality.

 

Our first focus on GIFTS, therefore, is a deeper look at the first part of the vision statement, and its call to “glorify God through worship.” Reveille’s worship services provide a wonderful opportunity for us to take a break from our hectic daily routines to truly focus on God and recharge our spiritual batteries. They are also the time when we present God with our gifts and offerings, in response to the many blessings God has generously poured out in our lives.  In this season of Stewardship, we encourage you to Deepen Your Vows and your commitment to honoring God with your GIFTS.
